Casino News - December 4th, 2009 - Written by Glen
A casino project by Foxwoods in Pennsylvania has been repeatedly delayed, and lawmakers are now calling on the regulatory body for gaming to revoke the license awarded to Foxwoods so that a new investor could be found to develop another slot parlor in Philadelphia.
Foxwoods, which has seen troubling times with their debts, may see more trouble should the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board revoke the license for the hampered casino they intend on building within the state. Foxwoods is delaying the project due to the negotiations over whether or not table games would be permitted in Pennsylvania casinos. An architectural plan of the casino was to be submitted on Tuesday, though Foxwoods had filed for a delay on the deadline on Monday.
Eleven significant licencees had been awarded the priveledge to establish slot parlors, and the Foxwoods Group is the only one of the eleven that has not begun operation or indeed begun construction. A two year extension was granted to Foxwoods, giving them until May of 2011 to have their 1,500 slot games in action, and the architectural layout was one of the deadlines imposed after the agreement for the extension had been made.
Though Foxwoods will still have to wait and see if table games would be legalized within the state, many players still turn to USA Slots and table games in order to enjoy their games. USA Online Casinos are operating and allowing players from all states, including Pennsylvania, in order to deliver casino gaming to all legal aged players.
