Havard Professor Says Online Casinos Are Safe and Non Addictive

Opinions are flying high surrounding the issue of online gambling and one Harvard Director has made it publicly know that he believes that land casinos are a far more threat than online casinos when it comes to becoming an addict. After conducting several studies of behavior among online gamblers, end result was found to be that those who partake in online gambling were found to do so in a well maintained and controllable manner. Director of Harvard  Medical School's Division of Addictions has pointed out the simple fact that over two decades the number of people who claim to be addicted to online gambling have remained at a certain percentile, where as the number of online gamblers continues to grow year after year. Something about those facts should have government officials searching for another reason to prevent people from being able to enjoy gambling with their own money from the comfort of their home.

The fight to legalize USA online gambling continues and many believe that if the newly introduced bill is passed which will give people the right to decide how and where they spend their hard earned cash , we will face an increasingly high number of people who will at that time become addicted to online gambling. The truth of the matter is no one can predict what will come of the result of online gambling being legal. Speculations are thrown out all the time and a majority of the focus remains on the negative aspect of online gambling. Online gambling could very well be just what this economy needs. The government can greatly benefit from online operators with all the taxes, fines and licensing that will be enforced by The Department of Treasury.

As online gamblers around the world await on a decision for the newly revealed plan to legalize online gambling, we can only hope that people such as Harvard Medical School's Directer of Addiction will step up and speak their opinion, professional opinion that is.
