Over $215 million dollars was poured into the project overall, despite fears brought on by the recession. Despite this pessimism, the Chief Executive Officer, Harold Baugus, has expressed excitement and optimism over the project.
"We built this facility to meet our business needs, we're in a long term plan here, we're talking twenty years, we're going to be in the community from now on," said Baugus in a statement. "The economy has affected us somewhat and will continue to affect us, but nothing drastic to our business model."
Though USA friendly casinos have been showing positive revenue, many casinos around the United States have been met with hard times. The larger gambling venues have taken the biggest hits, though the small, local casinos have remained stable in most locations around the country.
The Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino is expected to be Arizona's premier shopping, dining, and gambling venue, and their long term plan is built to thrive. while only time will tell how the casino thrives or falls.
The resort is located in the ruggedly beautiful Sonoran Desert, and their spa, golf course, and recreational venues are open to the public, and special promotions are open gamblers looking for a deal.
