Two of the poker industry’s giant groups, the World Poker Tour Enterprises and the top online game site, Poker Stars announced a partnership deal that will definitely benefit all parties involved.WPTE Incorporated said that it has signed a lucrative sponsorship deal with Poker Stars – its first television sponsorship contract for the long awaited World Poker Tour Season Seven.
“Television sponsorship is an important part of our business so having the biggest company in the poker industry jump on board is an exciting way to start international distribution of Season Seven,” said Steve Lipscomb, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer for World Poker Tour Enterprises.
“We look forward to working with PokerStars as we roll out the latest World Poker Tour programming to fans in these territories,” he added.
Poker Stars will benefit from huge brand exposure as Season Seven is rolled out in countries such as Italy, Canada, Germany and the Netherlands.
The two groups will also collaborate to bring poker programs to more localized audiences, such as Spanish shows to South American audiences. This is not a new concept, with WPTE having introduced local poker shows in Asia and Europe in the past.
Season Seven promises to be bigger and better than ever, with Vince van Patten and Mike Sexton commentating.
Poker Stars has enjoyed the reputation of one of the top sites in the industry for a while now. The site offers the largest selections of online poker tournaments that cater to every type of player.
