NFL News - December 5th - Written by Jimmy
The Minnesota Vikings may want to consider putting more limitation on what they're players are allowed to do.
Earlier this week, news broke that star RB Adrian Peterson was clocked doing 109 mph in a 55 mph zone. That incident occurred last Saturday, one that has drawn attention from the sporting media, as well as the Minnesota state legislator Steve Murphy.
Now, news is breaking that WR Bernard Berrian was also caught speeding, on Monday night. His offense? Doing 104 mph in a 60 mph zone.
This begs the question, where is it the Minnesota Vikings are in such as hurry to get to?
The Vikings appear to be doing well for the 2009 NFL Season and on the fast track to the NFC championship game, to meet the Saints, but there could be a real damper put on the season should this lead to any type of suspension, or maybe something worse.
At this time, there have been no talks of any kind of punishment from the league nor the Minnesota Vikings, however neither Peterson or Berrian will be driving any time soon.
Four years ago, the Minnesota State Legislature approved a law that would suspend the license of anyone caught going 100mph for a minimum of 6 months.
However, Peterson nor Berrian have been found guilty of violating Minnesota statute 169.14 (1a). Until they appear in traffic court, neither will be forced to surrender their license
