Couple injury notes for today
- The Minnesota Vikings announced that Percy Harvin's injured shoulder has progressed well and will be healthy enough to permit a start on Sunday. Harvin will be active for the Vikings marquee game against the Ravens. He was questionable after being limited in practice all week.
-The Cleveland Browns probably could deal without anymore bad news this year, but outside linebacker Kamerion Wimbley will be out of the lineup today against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's been one of the Browns lone bright spots on defense, but has been battling an illness this week and the team said he is not feeling any better. Meanwhile, Steelers' safety Troy Polamalu will be in the lineup for the first time since the opener against the Titans. He had been held out for four weeks after his leg was landed on awkwardly in a pile to recover a fumble. He did say, however, that his knee feels a little "loose".
- Matthew Staffords aching knee isn't healing, said ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio. He was injured two weeks ago when his knee popped in-and-out of place when he was being taken down. It was previously considered to be a minor injury, but continues to swell and cause problems. He will visit Dr. James Andrews for an MRI this week and may need surgery.
- Detroit Lions wideout Calvin Johnson is also out with a leg injury.
- Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel will get a minor downgrade to his blindside on Sunday against the Redskins. Left tackle Branden Albert will miss the game with an ankle ailment and Wade Smith will get the start over him. Don't think it could get any worse for Cassel, who has been sacked 15 times already.
