Poker News - December 1st, 2009 - Written by Glen
Isildur1 has been sending some of the largest names in poker, specifically Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonious, home short on cash, but one player has managed to pull millions from the relatively unknown poker player. Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies, the Finnish poker pro, managed to yoke over $1.5 million from Isildur1 in just a little over an hour.
On November 27th, Ziigmund and Isildur1 sat down at the Pot Limit Omaha table to duke it out. After liberating large quantities of cash from both "durrrr" and Patrik Antonious, Isildur1 had to have felt good going into battle against Ilari Sahamies. Little coul Isildur guess that Sahamies would end up mopping the floor with his chip stack, sending him home with $1.5 million dollars less than when he started.
Highlights of Sahamies' romp through Isildur's chip stack include a $460,000 pot that Ziigmund took down with a set of sevens to Isildur's Jacks and Fives. Over just one hour of play Sahamies managed to bring Isildur's profit for the day into a subtle nosedive.
Isildur1 has become the latest rage through the online poker community. Having shaken down many players, Isildur1 remains one of the leading players of all the high stakes players through Full Tilt online poekr. Having reached nearly $5.4 million dollars profit, Isildur has continued to maraud the purses of many of the greatest players.
The enigmatic player has attained such levels of notoriety in the online poker world that Tom "durrrr" Dwan, a key player of USA Online Poker, has issued a challenge against Isildur, a challenge that had apparently gone unrequited. Dwan had challenged Isildur to a live, heads up tournament to throw down in a London casino. While Isildur did not show up, Dwan did take two players for their buy-ins.
