Live Dealer Online Poker Room To Become A Reality

Poker News - December 2nd, 2009 - Written by Glen

live poker dealerIn just a few months time, a new online poker room is set to launch. This new poker room will be different from the rest of the competition for one main reason - rather than relying on random number generators and mathematical algorithms, this poker room will actually have decks of cards shuffled and dealt by a physical machine rather than a digital one.

Gioia International Ltd. is set to deliver online poker through the use of the Deck Matrix system. This machine will not only scramble the deck before a shuffle, but will also be shuffled multiple times and allow the player sitting on the dealer button to actually have the deck cut by the machine. The results from the shuffle, cut, and deal are then sent from the information into a computer, thus digitizing the true randomness of the card drawing.

Though the games will be handled by the dealing machine, security still remains a priority for the poker site in question. Gioia International's proprietary "Cut N Shuffle" system was designed to force players to cut or not cut the deck. This is built to prevent poker bots from running rampant. These bots are sometimes a problem through poker rooms, but the Cut N Shuffle feature should eliminate this threat. In order to maintain fair play from themselves, RealDealPoker will allow players to pay a fee to see an audit of any hand from both the machine and the computerized version, as performed by a third party contractor. In order to guarantee fairness, players who request the audit, pay the appropriate fee, then see that malfeasance has occurred, then that player would see 100 times what they paid to see the audit credited to their account.

RealDealPoker is meant to launch in February of 2010, though this is still a tentative date. This revolutionary new style of online poker could change the industry of all of the USA Online Poker rooms, though this is still uncertain. Another uncertainty is that of whether or not USA players will be accepted through this online poker room. While both the site and the players would love to share this technology with American poker players, legal climates in America may still prohibit this form of gaming.
