Freddie Ellis Named Seven Card Stud World Champion

The long hours of play put in event 6 of the 2009 WSOP, the World Championship even Card Stud, paid of big for well known poker player Freddie Ellis. Ellis, being one of the older poker players, showed an amazing display of poker skills as he went head to head with component Eric Drache in the final hours of event 6. Back and forth, these 2 players continued to show no mercy towards one another as with every flip of a card the pot continued to grow. Ellis came to this competition with one goal in mind and that was to win. Although the long hours seemed to ware on this veteran poker player, he kept his focus on winning that gold bracelet and a cool cash prize he knew would be well worth his time and effort. Making bold move and adding chips pot after pot paid off in the end, paid of with a Ellis walking away with the Seven Card Stud World Champion title, a 2009 WSOP gold bracelet and a prize of $373,744. Ellis showed an amazing display of card skills and proved that with age, determination can get you everywhere.
