Gambling News - June 24, 2009 - Written By Bonnie
Legalizing poker has been an ongoing issue over the past few years. So many gambling restrictions limit the rights of poker players all over the United States. Time and time again, efforts to reverse laws prohibiting gambling have been turned away by our government officials. Luckily for us, an organization has been formed in support of allowing Americans to seek out gambling as a form of entertainment. This non profit organization is refered to as the Poker Players Alliance or PPA.
A petition is in circulation and its mission is to have this issue addressed by President Barack Obama himself. Far to often, our government gets to regulate laws without any say so from the public. Its time we as Americans, and players of poker, stand up for our right to participate in any form of gambling we deem fit for our personal entertainment.
By taking part in this action and signing the PPA Petition, you will automatically receive a ticket to enroll in one of the exclusive PPA Petition Freerolls at PokerStars. Every Saturday between June 27 - July 25th, a Freeroll will take place and you have personally been invited to be a part of this exciting event just for simply making your voice heard and signing the PPA Petition.
Spaces are limited to 20,000 per freeroll so be sure to sign the petition and register to reserve your seat in one of the events taking place June 27 - July 25. Not only are you standing up for your right as an American to do what you want with your hard earned money, these events give you a chance to add $3500 ,per freeroll, to your stack of cash.
