If you like to see players press their luck in major tournaments, event 21 of the 2009 WSOP was the one to watch. Event 21, the H.O.R.S.E. tournament had a $3000 buy in and brought out 453 players. With 12 hours of play under his belt for this tournament, Zac Fellows was the one to come out victorious and win a cash prize of $311,899. Fellows enter the final day as chip leader and some how managed to maintain that position throughout most of the day. At one point his chip count seemed to be slipping but quickly gained his position back when he finished out a hand with a full house.
Down to the final match up, Fellows went head to head with poker player James Van Alsytne. On several occasions there was a thought that Fellow's had pressed his luck just a tad to much putting Alsytne in the drivers seat. Alsytne did his best to put up a fight with Fellows, but it was no match for his Fellow's determination to take home the title of champion of event 21 at the 2009 WSOP and after a hour and a half of play, he did just that. Fellow's is crowned champion off the H.O.R.S.E. tournament leaving James Van Alsytne in the second position. Although Alsytne appear to be a bigger threat than Fellow's may of anticipated at some points, he will have to accept the runner up posistion. I am sure that the cash prize of $192,866 will have something to do with him be happy where he finished.
