Day Two of WSOP Circuit Event Taking Place at Harrah's, New Orleans

As the 2009 World Series of Poker draws near, players all of the circuit make final attempt to earn themselves a spot in the WSOP main event. On Monday, only one day in to the WSOP Circuit Event held in New Orleans, Bill Kopp of Kentucky, manages to collect over 270,000 chips by the end of day one, earning him a spot in today's event which can result in some large winnings and a spot in the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event. With only a $5150 buy in, this event marks one of the last stops before hitting up the Rio Hotel All- Suite and Casino in Vegas for the start of the 2009 World Series of Poker.

Billy Kopp was one of 167 players attending the WSOP- Circuit Gold Ring at Harrah's Casino in New Orleans. Among those players were some of the well known pros such as Allen Kessler, Shaun Deeb, Philip Sparta and the impressive Dwyte Pilgrim who entered this tournament right after winning the WSOP Circuit Championship event which was held at Caesars Palace on a few weeks ago. Pilgrim is hot on Kopp's trail and  trailing by only 100,000 chips.

Tune in to follow day two of this event where the remaining players will play out hoping to earn a spot at the final table of 9. The winner of the event will take away a whopping $211,722 and a spot in the $10,000 buy in WSOP Main Event, leaving 17 other top players to split whats left of the prize pool which totaled $809,950.
