We've been watching the MLB standings and keeping up with the trends in odds for the separate league pennants. The National League favorites point towards Chicago's Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals at a respective +350 and +450. For risk takers looking to win big, think about placing your money on the Pirates, Rockies, Padres, or the Nationals, each at a disrespectable +5000. While it can still go any way, disposable income can easily make a chunk of change depending on how you bet. In the American League, the Boston Red Sox are the heavy favorite at +180. Behind them are the Yankees at a slightly lower a slightly higher +275. With a great deal of teams hovering at the +1400 mark, there are many routes to go right now in the MLB depending on how much you are willing to risk.

The possible NHL Stanley Cup match ups are up and ready for betting. The favorite is currently the Capitals vs. Detroit at a ranking of +500. A foolish bet would be to take the Bruins vs. Blackhawks for the Stanley Cup game, for obvious reasons - let's get real people. For a possible wager that includes a good pay out, look at the Penguins vs the Ducks. Currently at +1200, both the Ducks and the 'guins, those avian fools, are fighting to maintain their position in the bracket. Game 3 left the Penguins with their first win of the series against the Capitals, despite the odds. The Ducks are continuously pummeling the Red Wings, last season's Stanley Cup winner, allowing them to steal away with a 2-1 streak against the Wings with Game 4 on the horizon. Both teams have injured players and the stakes are getting higher. For their next game on the 7th of May, the Red Wings are still the favorite, despite their losses, at a -145 to the Ducks +125.
