casinoCherokee Nation Entertainment, the division of the Cherokee Nation in charge of gaming, entertainment, and hospitality has announced the groundbreaking for their newest Oklahoma casino. Thursday will mark the day that the ground is broken for their eighth casino in the Sooner State. This casino will be located near Ramona, Oklahoma.

"Our goal is first and foremost to create good-paying, stable jobs in our Cherokee communities," began David Stewart, CNE's CEO. "We have proven that our gaming operations are an asset to the communities in which we reside. The city of Ramona recognizes this and has been a very welcoming and great partner to work with."

Tied into 10,000 square feet, the casino is proposed to include over 200 electronic games, concession stands for food and drink, and much more to come. Over 100 jobs are expected to be made in the immediate area.

The casino set for Ramona is being built in a state writhe with competition for gambling dollars. In addition to having to contend with over 60 casinos, Oklahoma online casinos will also provide stiff competition for the casino.

Cherokee Nation Entertainment has stated that work will begin immediately, starting on the infrastructure and access roads, as well as the foundation.
