Casino News - January 31st, 2010 - Written By Glen
Pennsylvania legislators have, in the last few weeks, passed a bill that allows table games in the young yet prosperous casinos around the state. With the new table games comes a new responsibility for the casinos - they now need dealers.
In order to have the table games operating as quickly as possible, the Mohegan Sun is offering to begin training dealers by the middle of February. The quicker the positions are filled, the faster the tables in place and ready to be utilized by tourists and Pennsylvanians.
Sands Casino is also optimistic about the inception of table games. According to Sands, table games can be ready before the summer hits. Up to 100 tables are expected in this casino, with games including blackjack and roulette.
Each casino in the state is going to have to hire many new employees in order to fill out the tables, which was one reason that legislators had legalized table games. Hundreds of jobs are expected to be filled in the hiring surge, most of which are hourly, operating with tips, while some will be salaried positions, particularly for new supervisors.
Until the time hits when table games are to be launched within the state, Pennsylvania Online Casinos, such as Cherry Red Casino, are the only option. Casino operators are rushing to put these games into play as quickly as possible, as Delaware has also managed to begin passing table games. These table games may even be operating quicker than those in Pennsylvania, despite having been passed shortly after the Pennsylvania legislation.
