Casino News - March 6th, 2010 - Written By Glen
Casinos in Alabama have been taking a blow from the Task Force on Illegal Gambling, but these casinos are working around the clock to devise methods of circumventing interdiction from law enforcement.
The largest casino in the state, VictoryLand, had been closed after another scheduled raid against them, but the Shorter based casino had come up with a plan to make it more difficult for the anti-gambling task force to force their way in.
By relinquishing their liquor license, VictoryLand casino has made it more difficult for the state to intervene in the gaming. The state's liquor regulations would give officials the authority to inspect a licensed liquor serving establishment at any given time without needing a search warrant.
The closure of VictoryLand had not only cost citizens their entertainment, but also many their jobs. The reopening of VictoryLand came as a sharp relief for those who had worked in the casino.
Unfortunately, legislation to quell the Task Force's activities had fallen short in the state legislature.
Until Alabama residents speak out to their representatives, it is unlikely that the issue will move forward. The most recent vote had fallen three votes short, and it is not expected to come up again in this legislative session.
For now, Alabama Online Casinos are the safest way for casino gamblers to enjoy their games.
