For those movie goers crazy enough to watch a scary movie in a big dark theater, there is a chance this weekend as a new movie, The Crazies, hits the big screen on Friday, February 26th. Director Breck Isner brings the original 1973 horror film back to the big screen with a fresh new look.
A toxin fills the air in the small town of Ogden Marsh, Iowa and turns the entire town upside down. Residents acquire a somewhat sociopathic behavioral pattern as the toxin begins affecting one town person at a time. Sheriff David Dutton bands together with his family in an effort to keep himself and those close to him unaffected by the virus that is sweeping the town and killing all in its path.
For approximately 101 minutes, viewers of the film will endure bloody violence and suspense that is sure to keep everyone on the edge of their seat. The poison afflicting the small town of Iowa will instill viewers with tension, violence, and an all around fun thrill ride. Fans of drama, comedy, horror, or action, can all enjoy the excitement of a good scary movie, and The Crazies may just be that movie for 2010.
