Changes To Come In The Next Season Of Dancing With The Stars

Season 10 of Dancing with the stars is just around the corner, and talk of changes this season have been confirmed by ABC entertainment president Steve McPherson. Dancing With The Stars has become one of the most watched reality shows ever to hit the airwaves, much bigger than anyone ever anticipated when taking the show for a trial run back in June of 2005. The show went straight to the top after the first season, encouraging the production staff to add an additional show, which is exactly what they did for a period of time.

No one thought that teaming up a professional dancer with Hollywood stars, with little or no dance experience, would turn into such a success and become one of the most anticipated reality shows of all time. In the past seasons, the cast of Dancing With The Stars has consist of up to 16 professional dancers, and 16 stars, but things appear to be moving in another direction this season, according to Steve McPherson, ABC entertainment president.

McPherson will indeed be running to cycles of the show this season, but is drastically cutting the number of couples paired up on the show. When so many people are participating in the show, it takes up a lot more time, much like last season did, which is why the number of couples will be limited to 11 or 12 for each cycle. Although the celebrities have not been released at this time, there is some rumors circulating in the media that Pamela Anderson will be joining the cast this season.
