Table games are right around the corner for Pennsylvanians, and laws are still being updated in order to prepare the state's casinos for their new additions. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has passed several different regulations surrounding table games in the state. These new laws outline training requirements, game rules, and different specifications for a variety of games.
The training for the new dealers is perhaps one of the most significant updates to the gaming law. Dealers must be trained in every type of game for which they will deal. The training must be received at an accredited school or a licensed casino. Conversely, six months or more of dealership experience would be acceptable. The handling of cards and money alike must have been a subject of training for the dealers. Additionally, dealers must receive training in CPR. Finally, the length of training time has been adjudicated.
Regulation has also been created for the rules surrounding the number of poker games, both casino banked and player banked, that may be offered. The rake, or percentage of the fees taken from winning pots in player banked poker games, has also been established.
The new gambling regulation focused primarily on poker. The different types of poker game, as well as the regulatory rules behind each, were covered in the most recent hearing. Let It Ride, Pai Gow poker, Caribbean Stud Poker, Three Card Poker and Texas Hold 'em Bonus Poker, were all listed as the house banked poker games in the state.
Further rules were concocted for procedural happenings in the casinos. The rules of player's conduct, announcement of the games, the collection of winnings and loses, as well as the minimum odds on several games have all been released. Furthermore, the layout of the tables, the shuffling, cutting, and dealing of cards, as well as the way irregularities are handled were also covered in the new set of regulations.
Pennsylvania Online Gambling sites take care of all of these issues already, as the software backing each site will automatically cover every situation that may arise.
