Gambling News - January 24th, 2010 - Written By Bonnie
The 2012 Phenomenon is being referred to by many as the end of time. This compromises a range of beliefs, both spiritual and scientific. Certain events that may end mankind as we know it will allegedly take place in December of 2012.
Despite what your religious beliefs may be, thinking that the end of the world is right around the corner is scary for anyone to think about and has raised much controversy over the years. If the end of the world did in fact come to an end on the date some believe to be true, it would be the end to a 5125 year long cycle in the Mayan Long Count calender.
The "new age" interpretation of this transition between life as we know it and the after life suggests that a positive physical and or spiritual transformation will be stowed upon us, and if the end of time will in fact be the starting of a new era. Thinking along those lines is much more peaceful than to think that come two years from now, life as we know it will just be over. Fearing change, much like we did in the late 1990's with the Y2K Bug, leads to a world wide panic and often situations that are an attempt to prepare for disaster, which can result in what can be considered preventable confusion.
There is really no way to tell what the future has in store for us, at least we can make all the predictions a little more entertaining to follow by placing wagers on entertainment betting lines found on some of the top online sportsbooks, such as Intertops. There you will find betting odds on whether or not mankind to be extinguished by Dec 31st 2012, which hold win odds of 2012.00.
