Many think the world is coming to an end in 2012, and if Paris Hilton gets elected it may just do so. The 2008 election was full of many firsts in the political world, but can America really offer the responsibility of a country to unqualified Americans such as Paris Hilton? While Paris does a great job of running her "own little world", the fact that certain online sportsbook are even offering betting odds as to her election, joke or not, should really make us question and concern about how this country is run.
Although America voted the top two candidates into position, it is not like voters were given the best selection of runners. America certainly had no problems voicing their opinions on both of the top candidates, Obama and Palin. These two candidates created alot of controversy in several political areas, mainly from their own personal lives. Obama ethnicity was question, Palin's parenting skills were constantly in the spotlight, and every single comment and action made by both parties was picked apart by the public. It takes a true professional to uphold their political views and redirect every negative personal attack thrown their direction, all the while focus on the task at hand - making the country a better place.
In the end, it was Obama that would stand as leader of the country and go down in history for being our very first African America politician to make it all the way to the White House. Obama was faced with many world tragedies a short time in to his presidency and has handled each one with the American peoples best interest at heart. You can't help but wonder how others might face the worlds troubles in running an entire country.
Maybe one of the reasons people limit their conversation with someone in the political profession is because they are shallow and pedantic, boring and outspoken, but then again, that is just what some may say. Maybe Paris Hilton is exactly what Washington needs. She already live the lifestyle of the rich and famous, but can we really leave the country's budget up to some who has never had to worry about over spending a day in her life? While she would certainly bring a fresh new style to the White House, she may find a government job to be just as boring as the millions of people that already know that to be true.
