NFL News - February 4th, 2010 - Written by John Ritter
Could Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco co-exist?
Ocho thinks so.
In fact, he's preparing for it. According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, the current Cincinnati Bengals receiver said during a Super Bowl pre-party that he is "sure" that Owens will be his teammate in 2010.
"(C)had ochocinco just told me on The Jay Glazer Pre-Party on FSN that he thinks T.O. will be a Bengal next year. he said he's sure of it," Glazer Tweeted on Thursday.
If that's the case, it would probably be news to anyone in the Bengals organization. As teams begin unwinding during the Super Bowl before they have to pick it up during the NFL year, which starts in March, no one in the front office has publicly offered that scenario.
Owens has just recently finished a bad marriage with the Buffalo Bills in which he pre-emptively said he was ready for a new challenge. He has spent brief careers in Philadelphia, Dallas and Buffalo since leaving the San Francisco 49ers, and hasn't stayed in one place more than three years.
Cincinnati has been a hot spot for guys with iffy reputations, who's chicanery in 2006 gained the team the nickname, "Bad News Bengals".
But as ProFootballTalk reports, it may not have to be one getting along with the other. If Owens comes in, it poses, Ochocinco may be on his way out.
Ocho made the Pro Bowl this season, but has a messy rift with the team over contract negotiations in 2008.
