NFL News - January 10th, 2010 - Written by John
After twisting his knee and ankle during last week's regular season finale, Arizona Cardinals' receiver Anquan Boldin was trying to rehab quick enough to play in Sunday's wild card game against the Green Bay Packers.
But the nagging injuries, which individually can take weeks to recover from, have apparently been to meddlesome. Boldin was not with the other receivers during warm-ups before the game, and it appears he will be held out of the game.
Boldin was listed as inactive in the Arizona Cardinals Injury Report.
That leaves Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston and Early Doucet as the teams top three receivers for the game, which may be Kurt Warner's last. The 12-year veteran quarterback is said to be pondering retirement at season's end, and with Arizona's ugly history with the Packers this year, season's end may be this weekend.
Green Bay beat up on the Cardinals during the finale last week, 33-7, and is one of the hottest teams in the league to-date. Arizona is essentially backing into the NFL Playoffs with losses in three of it's last six, and losing it's second-leading receiver certainly doesn't help.
Boldin joined Fitzgerald as the team's only two receivers with 1,000 yards on the year. He had three 100-yard games, and finished with 1,024 and four touchdowns.
