Poker News - February 4th, 2010 - Written By Bonnie
If you have spent any time in the online poker community, you may be familiar with online player 'Boku87'. 'Boku87' is a player who set out on a mission back in 2007 to turn $100 into $10,000, in just 14 days. He went on to place 14th at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Monte Carlo Grand Final in 2008. It seems as if setting that challenge and completing it was not enough, he has set his sights are a much tougher challenge, with a much bigger reward at the finish line.
'Boku87' has given himself a 12 month time frame to turn $5 into a whopping $100,000. This will not only challenge his poker skills to the fullest, but it will also require much control and management over his bankroll. $5 certainly does not allow much room for error and playing his cards right without a bust will be essential, at least while in the process of building his bank flow. This event is strictly going to be spread out throughout tournaments on PokerStars.com, with first tournament to kick of the action being the Sit & Go Tournament, requiring only a $0.10 buy in. The more he plays and builds his Online Poker account, the larger tournaments he will be able to participate in.
Hopefully for the next 12 months, PokerStars will have something to report on the progress of 'Boku87', if he falls short of his challenge, it will be a much shorter ride than we all anticipate. A blog has been created and will be updated twice a week, so that fans can follow the poker play of 'Boku87'.
