John Wall is projected to be the first pick in this summer's NBA Draft, so it would stand to reason that he will choose that route instead of sticking around for a second year at Kentucky.
And while Wildcat fans are crossing their fingers that such a scenario doesn't happen, it seems even the shirt on his back is foretelling the impending fate.
Via Twitter, head coach John Calipari posted a picture of a recent Sports Illustrated photo shoot where he stands between freshman Eric Bledson, DeMarcus Cousins and Wall to his left and Patrick Patterson to his right. All four are wearing blue Kentucky jerseys.
Except for Wall. His has a slight alteration.
The Nike jersey given to Wall has to precarious letters accidentally switched, spelling out "Kentcuky" instead. Kentucky is one of the hottest teams in the country thanks to Wall and Co.
Kentcuky is most-certainly not.
And while the picture is becoming a viral hit, many are digging further into it's mishap by posing the following assumption.
The jersey knows all.
The last four letters strategically separated "C U KY", as noted by Yahoo! Blog "The Dagger".
So while the blue bloods have Wall to thank in bringing the program back to prominence, it will be hard to ignore the forecast for next season when it is staring them right in the face.
Then again, it may just be a shout out to Ken T. Cuky. But even bloggers have yet to go that far out on a limb.
According to College Basketball Betting Lines, the Wildcats currently have the second-best odds to win the 2010 National Championship at 3/1, according to Bodog. Kansas is the favorite at 2/1.
