Just a year after leaving the PGA Tour due his surgically repaired knee, Tiger Woods is back in rehab.
Not that kind of rehab.
Per ESPN, Woods was spotted in a Mississippi sex rehab clinic by Benoit Denizet-Lewis, author of the book "America Anonymous: Eight Addicts in Search of a Life". The author, who is also a recovering sex addict, blogged about spotting the golf star on Monday, saying it is an attempt to regain control of his marriage.
Woods has been out of golf since multiple women went public about their adulterous affairs, and few have seen him in public at all. He took an indefinite leave from the sport while he tried to talk his wife, Elin Nordegren out of divorce, but those efforts apparently were in vain. No one knows when Tiger will reappear. Even Online Sportsbooks are listing future odds on The Masters without Woods in the field.
Nordegren filed for a split several weeks ago, and reportedly left the United States to fly home to Sweden.
Denizet-Lewis' report is the first official word that Woods was spotted in the Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services facility, citing an unnamed source as his back-up. ESPN, among other sites, have floated the rumor but said it could not personally confirm the news.
According to the clinic's website, treatments are giving to patients suffering from various addictions ranging from eating to psychiatric disorders.
The author also said that he personally spent time in the clinic a few years ago as he worked on his aforementioned book, and said that sessions include couple's therapy, which would therefore mean Nordegren needed to participate.
