Event 32 of 2009 World Series of Poker Recap
Angel Guillen was the winner of Event 32 in the Series. Just over a week ago Guillen took second place in a similar No-Limit Hold'Em competition, being beaten out by Kevin Stammen. Perhaps this incited his continued fervor, as he squared off with Mika Paasonen for five straight hours to win his first gold bracelet. In addition he walked away with over half a million dollars in prize money. Paasonen was the leader going into the final showdown, but Guillen's perseverance took precedence and he demolished his opponent. Three seems to be the lucky number, as Guillen won Event 32 with a three of a kind three's, beating out Paasonen's two-pair kings.
