Out of the 2,707 entrants, only 46 remain. Tom Thomas and his double name stand at the top, running with 917,000 chips. Charles Simon is hot on his heels with 626,000 chips, leaving him the opportunity to catch up and take the lead. Scott Buller is straggling behind with 541,000 chips. The top three are struggling with one another, each one attempting to hamstring the other and cripple their chances to win the event. Many of the left over players have under 200,000 chips, leaving them in a difficult position. The games end is nigh and the players are all fighting to survive. Event 43, the Seniors No Limit Hold 'Em World Championship, came to an end last night. Michael Davis, a 20 time cash winner at the World Series, took his first bracelet home to Texax from wence he came. He has earned $512,421 from playing poker and he finally got a piece of the gold. His runner-up was Scott Buller, who walked with a solid $268,507. Buller's last hand was an ace and a jack, which held more strength than the ace and nine Davis was holding. The turn showed a nine, giving Davis the win. Just a half an hour prior, Barry Bounds was knocked out in third, taking home $179,000 large. Davis eliminated Bounds with a flush versus a straight.
