USA Poker WSOP 2009 WSOP 2009 WSOP Event 6 World Championship Seven Card Stud
The World Championship Seven Card Stud is the 6th event in the 2009 WSOP. It has a steep buy-in of $10,000 and hence, this event does not attract as many players as the other lower buy-in events do. Last year the event attracted 158 players with a total net prize pool of over $1.4 million dollars. The event is to be played over a period of three days.
Traditionally, the seven card stud game has been popular mostly in the east coast region of the United States unlike other poker games like the draw poker, lowball and flop games such as hold ‘em and Omaha. The 2009 WSOP Event 6 World Championship Seven Card Stud is a world championship event apart from being a regular gold bracelet event. This means the winner of the event will be the Seven Card Stud World Champion.
Players will begin Event 6 of the 2009 World Series Of Poker with $20,000 in tournament chips. 4.2% of the total entry pool will be withheld for entry fees and 1.8% of the entry pool will be retained towards tournament staff. Limits are set for this event at an amount equal to the completion bid or twice that amount as the case may be.
