USA Poker WSOP 2011 WSOP WSOP Event 11 Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better Championship
The 11th event in the 2011 World Series of Poker is the second Championship event. This will be the Omaha HI-Low Split-8 or Better Championship, and it is expected to be a heated competition. The event will require a $10,000 buy-in, as with any other championship tournament. This is one of the most prestigious events in the World Series of Poker, and it is expected to bring out more than a handful of professional and amateur players alike.
Last year, this event was won by Sammy Farha. He took a prize of $488,241, which was the largest prize in the pool of $1,992,800. The second place runner-up was James Dempsey. Out of the 212 players who entered, only 27 were paid. Mike Sexton and Huck Seed were amongst the paid winners. Expect several professional players to participate in the event, as well as many other amateurs, if you enter. Just keep in mind the enormous buy-in associated with this tournament.

Tom Dwan, Bertrand Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov, and Daniel Negreanu had also been sent home without making it through the day.
Though the tournament was only supposed to have three days, a fourth day had become necessary at 4 AM PST. The stoppage of play was forced by tom constraints. Only three players remain going into the real final day. George Lind, Steve Billirakis, and Viacheslav Zhukov had all remained alive. Lind was in first, with 2,860,000 chips. Steve BIllirakis had 2,465,000 chips remaining. Viacheslav Zhukov was in the last place, with 740,000 chips to his name. The final day will resume at 3 PM PST.
Event 11 Final Update - Event 11 was only meant to have 3 days, but a fourth day became necessary when time ran out on day 3. The fourth day brought three players back to the table. George Lind was the chip leader going into the fourth day, with 2.86 million chips to his name. Viacheslev Zhukov of Russia came into the event with the second place stack, holding 2.465 million chips to his name. Finally we come to Steve Billirakis, who had only 740,000 chips to his name. His stack may be the smallest, but his prowess speaks for itself.
Unfortunately for Billirakis, he ran down to 50,000 chips on one of the night. He was quickly eliminated, and he won $214,697 for placing in third. Zhukov and Lind continued to trade chips, though Lind had managed to briefly take the lead. Heads up play continued for several hours, with Zhukov slowly taking chips from Lind. At about 6:55 PM PST, Lind opened from the button, and Zhukov raised from the blind. Lind made the call, and the dealer dropped 4d-Kh-Qs. Zhukov bet, Lind raised, and Zhukov shoved. Lind made the call. Zhukov flipped Ac-Jh-7h-3s, with Lind showing 9h-8s-6h-4s. Lind's pair of fours gave him the lead. The five of hearts landed on the turn, and Zhukov earned quite a few outs. A deuce landed on the river, giving Zhukov the wheel and the pot - as well as the bracelet. Zhukov's win earned him $465,216.
