USA Poker WSOP 2011 WSOP 2011 WSOP Event 14 Limit Hold Em
Limit hold 'em is the name of the game going into event 14 of the 2011 World Series of Poker. The 14th event may use the most popular format of poker, but it uses the less common betting structure of using limits. This should prove to be an exciting event solely because of the betting structure. We have found that this tournament does correlate to one from last year, though it was event 12 rather than event 14. There are a few differences amongst the two different tournaments.
Looking at the 14th event, players will have to buy into the event with $3,000 in cash. This 3 day event will kick off on June 8th, and it will be the second event of the day. Starting at 5 PM, this event will likely bring in several hundred players at the very least. Last year's correlating tournament attracted 625 players, albeit with a lower buy-in. Although the buy-in is slightly higher this year, it is likely to be a fairly significant bet regardless.

Only 36 people would be paid, and half of them are still in the running. Shawn Keller ended the day on a high note, with 520,000 chips in his stack. He will have to battle with Jeff Shulman at his table, and Shulman holds 197,000 chips going into this table. On the cusp of defeat are three players with less than 60,000 chips. On the other table we have Sorel Mizzi, though he is dismally short stacked at 88,500 chips.
Shaun Deeb, Jason Mercier, Maria Ho, Dwyte Pilgrim and Victor Ramdin are some of the fallen pros in this event. Day 3 Update - A total of 337 players came out to the $3,000 buy-in Limit Hold 'em tournament, and now only one remains "Alive" - the winner, Tyler Bonkowski. He entered into a final day of 18 other players, including a dominant Sorel Mizzi, and he managed to stay alive. Bonkowski and Brandon Demes had a gruelling fight in heads up play, with chips going back and forth between the two men.
