A limit form of 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball marks event 49, inviting players to participate one of the less common forms of poker. Most people have never played this form of poker, but it is one of the more exciting, all due to the nature of drawing into lowball hand. A fairly low buy-in has been affixed to the tournament, so this is likely to attract a number of different players.

If you have $2,500, you can slide up to a table with a chip and a chair to enter into event 49. The players who participate in this event will do so on June 28th. Players may begin to play at 5 PM. Those who participate in the event will be seated for no more than 3 days, ending on June 30th.

Tournament Updates
(New Updates Posted Daily During Event)

Day 1 Update - Jimmy Fricke and Eli Elezra have secured first and second place at the 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball (Limit) tournament. Jimmy Fricke holds 69,700 chips, with Elezra holding 57,100 chips to his name. Out of the 309 entrants, 120 remain in the event. Some other survivors going into the second day include Mike Matusow, Daniel Negreanu, Gavin Smith and Tom Dwan, who holds luck that may be turning around. Dwan went down to only 700 chips in the final level of play, and now he has 10,800 chips going into the second day. Jennifer Harman, John Juanda, Eric Froehlich and Phil Hellmuth have all been eliminated. A prize of $189,818 will go to the winner, as well as a bracelet that is arguably worth more than the prize.

Day 2 Update - Jason Mercier managed to grab the first place position at the end of the second day of the 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball tournament. Mercier snagged a total of 358,500 chips, but Eli Elezra is full of fight. He started the day in second place and he ended the day in second place. With only 13 remaining in the event, Elezra is in a strong position to earn his second bracelet. Shawn Buchanan, Scott Seiver, and Justin Bonomo are all still in play. Daniel Negreanu, Joe Hachem, Mike Matusow, Greg Raymer and Tom Dwan had all been eliminated in the second day. Jason Mercier has already won a bracelet this year, and winning another put him in the position to be the Player of the Year. Everyone from here on will earn $8,049 for their efforts, with the first place winner taking $189,818 for his victory.

Day 3 Update - Leonard Martin earned a solid $189,919 for his efforts in the 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball (limit) Championship. He had to contend with a solid final table, full of talent that is no easy feat to beat. The final table came down to Justin Bonomo, David Bach, Masa Tanaka, Eli Elezra, and Jason Mercier. With Elezra, Mercier and Bonomo, Martin was fighting an uphill battle to succeed. Mercier had gone first, as he was on life support for most of the day. Elezra had remained strong in the event, though he had somehow managed to blow his solid stack and lose out in fifth place, earning $36,596. Bach left in third, with Bonomo and Martin in heads up play. Martin took down the bracelet, and $189,818 for his effort.
