USA Poker WSOP 2011 WSOP 2011 WSOP Event 53 Ladies No Limit Hold Em Championship
Though males may enter event 53, the Ladies No Limit Hold 'em Championship is open predominantly to female players. Those who participate will be battling against some of poker's loveliest ladies, including Annie Duke, Jennifer Tilly, Jennifer Harmon, and Vanessa Russo. This tournament was won by Vanessa Hellebuyck last year, as she beat out 1,053 others in order to take down the largest chunk of the $948,600. Sidsel Boesen won the second place prize, taking the second largest chunk of the prize pool.
The Ladies No Limit hold 'em championship is a smaller event in terms of buy-in. It will require the ladies (or men) to pay $1,000 in order to enter the event. The event will kick off on July 1st, making it the first event of the last month of the 2011 World Series of Poker schedule. The event will last for three days, running until July 3rd. All players will be able to enter by 12 PM on the first day.

Tournament Update - The ladies no limit hold 'em championship brought out 1,055 players to participate. Marsha Wolak has managed to win the tournament, earning $192,344 and a bracelet. Several makes had come out in the beginning of play, but most of them were eliminated fairly quickly. Jonathan Epstein was the last man standing, and he took 9th place, as well as $13,701, for his participation in the event. Jennifer Tilly, Liv Boeree, Melanie Weisner, Maria Ho, Vanessa Selbst Kara Scott, Rebecca McAdam and many more came out to participate in this event. The field of 1,055 was larger than it was last year, with one more entrant over the previous field of 1,054. Vanessa Hellebuyck won the bracelet last year as well as a comperably high $192,132. This year she didn't even make it into the money.
