9/3/2009 - Tonight my picks are as follows: I like Boise State winning at home over Oregon. I think the home field advatage will give them the extra edge. It will be close, but I like them to cover the 3 point spread. WIN
9/3/2009 - I am also picking South Carolina to win over N.C. State who is favored by 5 1/2. I feel the Gamecock's offense will outscore the Wolfpack's. It should be a low scoring game. The over/under is set at 46 and I am going with the under. WIN/WIN
9/10/2009 - In the ACC matchup tonight featuring Georgia Tech and Clemson, oddmakers have Clemson as 5 points underdogs and an over/under set at 44. I have a split decision on these two wagers. I like Georgia Tech winning this one by more than 5. They are playing at home and Clemson will face a run-option attack that put over 500 yards last week. On another note, Clemson is only 2-8 on Thursday night games. The over/under at 44 is to high for my liking. Although Tech had over 500 yards last week, I do not feel that either offense is explosive enough to reach this benchmark. LOSS/LOSS

9/3/2009 - South Carolina over N.C. State (-5) with the spread. -- Payout -110 -- Typically, in college games, I will give the home team five points anyways because of the environment and comfort. So that means I believe Vegas considers N.C. State to be 10 points better than the Gamecocks, and I just don't see that. The ol' ball coach is now in his fifth season with South Carolina with a quarterback who is supposed to breakout any time now. Not to mention N.C. State was shut out, 34-0, by South Carolina in a Thursday night opener last year. Although Russell Wilson was the All-ACC First Team QB, I still like the Gamecocks to repeat. WIN
9/10/2009 - Georgia Tech -5 over Clemson-- Georgia Tech's front line is damaged from the draft and they are still looking for help. But Clemson's C.J. Spiller tweaked his hammy last week against Middle Tennessee State, an injury that plagued him last year, and probably won't be 100-percent. Clemson is also starting a freshman quarterback. With Jonathan Dwyer rushing for 100 yards a game in his sleep under Paul Johnson, I think this will easily be a two-touchdown win. LOSS

9/12/2009 - UNC -4 Over Uconn - Look for the Tarheels to be able to cover the spread at this one. The Tarheels only allowed 30 yards rushing last week VS Citadel. Uconn rushed for over 250 last week but they only threw for 127 in a close win over Ohio. UNC has 9 returning starters on defense that helped cause 4 turnovers last week. The 19th ranked Tarheels should win by 10-14 points or maybe more if Uconn is not much improved from last week.

9/10/2009 - Clemson @ Georgia Tech - Normally I'd go with Georgia Tech on this one, as they are not only the favored team, but their stats speak for them, but in the case of Georgia's injuries, I'd take Clemson on this one. Georgia is down a quarterback, as well as two running backs, so Clemson will be the safe bet. Ignore the spread in this game, as it is too unpredictable. On the over/under, take the Under. I don't think the teams will perform well enough to break the 44.5 mark. Expect field goals to take precedence in this game.LOSS/LOSS

9/5/2009 - Charleston Southern (+63) vs. University of Florida (-63) - The defending national champion Florida Gators will start their title defense against Charleston Southern University. Earn lines had this game at a 73 point difference, but has since went back to 63. There is no way that the Gators are going to be Charleston Southern by 63. I predict this game will be close to that mark, however I feel as though the Gators will only win by 45 to 50 points. Take Charleston Southern and the points. WIN
9/12/2009 - UCLA (+10 1/2) vs. University of Tennessee (-10 1/2) - Like their cross town rivals, UCLA has packed up and headed East for a big time match up. Rick Neuheisel leads the UCLA Bruins into Rocky Top to face the Tennessee Volunteers. The Bruins are big underdogs in this contest to the tune of over 10 points, depending on where you get your odds. The line for this game got blown up when Tennessee put a whipping on Western Kentucky last weekend making the betting public favor the Vols. While the Volunteers look impressive under the tutelage of Lane and Monte Kiffin, they aren't 10 1/2 points better than UCLA. I see Tennessee winning this game, but not by more than a touchdown. I would take the points and UCLA. The over/under at Bovada is set at 46 points. I really don't like betting these, but I will go out on a limb and say this one goes to the over.
