2009 AFC North Schedule Preview

The 2008 AFC North provided not only the AFC champs but also the Superbowl wining Pittsburgh Steelers. Ffind out whats in store for this season with our 2009 AFC North Schedule Preview. The Steelers look to try an repeat as Superbowl champs once again in the 2009 NFL Season.  However a few teams such as the Baltimore Ravens would like a chance at stopping that from happening.  The Cincinnati Bengals didn't have the best season in 2008, mainly do to a season ending injury to starting quarterback Carson Palmer.  The Cleveland Browns hope that new starting quarterback Brady Quinn can help them improve as a team.  Still i don't see a team in this division that stop the Steelers from reaching the playoffs yet again.

2009 Pittsburgh Steelers AFC North Schedule PreviewThe Pittsburgh Steelers won the AFC North division last year, while holding onto home field advantage through out the playoffs. The Pittsburgh Steelers will need that home field advantage once again as Tom Brady comes back to the AFC looking to win his 4th Superbowl ring. This years AFC Championship game is already projected to have the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers fighting head to head for supremacy over the AFC. The Pittsburgh Steelers finish the season wining the division once again with a record of 13-3.

2009 Baltimore Ravens AFC North Schedule PreviewThe Ravens have something to be excited about after the 2008 season.  Quarterback Joe Flacco proved he is ready to be an NFL starter behind the center.  The Ravens made a push to get Terrell Owens during the off season but couldn't capitalize on Owens or free agent Torry Holt. Flacco will have to rely on veteran and long time Raven Derrick mason to get it done again.  Mason played most of the second half of the season injured and, a healthy Mason could be the extra advantage the Ravens Need.  The Ravens defense pulls through again the Ravens make into the playoffs via the wild card with a record of 12-4

2009 Cincinatti Bengals AFC North Schedule PreviewThe Bengals lost maybe their best offensive weapon in wide out T.J. Houshmandzadeh during free agency.  T.J. caught over 200 passes in the last two years for the Bengals.  Now the Bengals will rely heavily on loud mouth all-star Chad Ocho-Cinco to make all the big plays down the field.  Carson Palmer returning from injury will have the biggest impact for the Bengals this year as his quarterback play will essential to the Bengals having a better season.

2009 Cleveland Browns AFC North Schedule PreviewThe Browns lost some key players during the off season Donte Stallworth is suspended fro the NFL after his DUI incident .  Tight End Kellen Winslow was also lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the off season.  The Browns add a player to the Offense already on the team in new starting Quarterback Brady Quinn, Quinn will need an amazing performance in 2009 to elevate the play of the Browns.

October 4th,2009 - Bengals @ Browns - In the battle of Ohio, this game might be the only chance for the Browns to get a win in the stacked AFC North division.

November 29th,2009 - Steelers @ Ravens - The Ravens play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers early in the second half of the season. This game could prove to be pivotal to the Ravens hopes of getting into the post season.

December 27th,2009 - Ravens @ Steelers - The Ravens get another shot at beating the Steelers in a week 16 match up, that could decide the winner
of the AFC North in 2009.
