The NFC Conference lost some of its glamor in 2008 something that will hopefully be fixed, however the 2009 NFC Schedule Preview shows that it may be hard. The defending Superbowl champs in 2007 the New York Giants fell apart after the Plaxico Burress incident slowing down the offense. The 2008 preseason projected NFC Conference champion, Dallas Cowboys, ended up posting a sub par 9-7 record. There were some surprise teams last year however for the NFC Conference. Starting with last years NFC Champion Arizona Cardinals, who after barley getting into the playoffs with a 9-7 record stormed threw the playoffs making it all the way to the Superbowl. Another surprise was the Minnesota Vikings Lat year pushing into the playoffs after winning the NFC North with a record of 10-6. Probably the biggest surprise came in the form of the Atalanta Falcons, who under the play of rookie quarterback Matt Ryan entered the playoffs with a record of 11-5. A huge improvement from the 2007 season when the Falcons won only four games, without Michael Vick. Though we don't know who this years NFC Conference champion will be, we do know the NFC 2009 NFL Season schedule is filled with big time match ups.
