The 2009 NFL Week 7 Previews feature some interesting story lines in what should be a great week of games. With over a third of the season already passed, teams will now begin to separate themselves as playoff contenders and pretenders. Week 7 features a match up of two of the top two rushing defenses from a season ago. The Vikings led the NFL giving up only 76.9 rushing yards per game. The Steelers were right behind them at 2nd in the NFL giving up only 80.2 rushing yards a game. Can either team manage much offense against these stout running stopping defenses? Two of the NFL's top young Quarterbacks will face off when Tony Romo and the Cowboys host Matt Ryan and the Falcons. Will the potent Cowboys offense be able to out dual a Falcons offense now featuring Pro Bowl TE Tony Gonzalez. Both teams have high hopes for the 2009 NFL season and this will be a big Week 7 match up.
A season ago the New York Giants finished as the top NFC seed going into the playoffs. They were expected to win the NFC and possibly the Super Bowl for much of the season. This was not the case with the Arizona Cardinals as nobody expected them to do anything after winning a weak NFC West division. The Cardinals went on to nearly win the Super Bowl and became NFC Champions while the Giants lost their first playoff game. These two playoff teams from a season ago will face off in Week 7 of the 2009 NFL season. The Monday Night game will pit division rivals against one another when the Washington Redskins will host the Philadelphia Eagles. These two NFC East teams will have the stage to themselves on Monday night and will have a good hard fought battle. Can either team make a statement on Monday Night and show the NFL viewing audience they are legit contenders for the 2009 NFL season?
