Looking at the 2010 New England Patriots Schedule, things won't get any easier in the AFC East as several teams have made significant improvements. In 2009, New England captured the AFC East division crown, finishing with a 10-6 record, just one game ahead of the second-place New York Jets. Despite winning the division, New England was ousted in the Wild Card round of the 2009 NFL Playoffs by the Baltimore Ravens in a lackluster effort that was unfitting for a team that has had the success of the Patriots.
The team got quarterback Tom Brady back after a year of rehab due to a torn ACL in the first game of the 2008 season. The Patriots went on to miss the playoffs in that year, but reasserted themselves atop the AFC East in 2009.
Brady came back to throw for 4,400 yards and 28 touchdowns, as the offense put 27 points per game on the board while surrendering only 18. New England won three of the last four in the regular season but were blown out 33-14 in the playoffs by Baltimore.
As the calendar flips to a new NFL season, the New England Patriots 2010 NFL Schedule will match them against the NFC North, and AFC North among other games. The Patriots will be matched against several playoff teams in the 2010 NFL Regular season and will make for games to mark on the slate.
