Fans in the City of Brotherly Love will accept nothing less than success throughout the course of the 2010 Philadelphia Eagles Schedule. With the way 2009 ended, Eagles fans are ready to get after it and get back on top, but they must now do it without Donovan McNabb.
Things had to change after the Philadelphia Eagles finished the 2009 season in a tie with Dallas for the NFC East title, losing on a tie-breaker. Then not only did they lose the division, the Eagles lost in the 2009 NFL playoffs to the Dallas Cowboys for the second.
Coming into this year, the Eagles will take on the 2010 Philadelphia Eagles Season Schedule with a new quarterback leading the way, as in one of the biggest off-season moves, the Eagles traded away Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins. McNabb had been at the helm of the Eagles offense for more than a decade, having won multiple NFC Est division title, an NFC Championship and one Super Bowl Appearance.
Now, the Eagles will turn to Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick as two options to play quarterback for the offense. Philadelphia has plenty of weapons on the offensive side of the football, in wide receiver DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, both of whom are young and explosive.
Defensively, Philadelphia gave up 21 points per game, but limited teams to only 81 yards on the ground. The secondary showed vulnerability at times, and the Eagles will need to focus on that equation as room for improvement.
In addition to their division opponents, the 2010 Philadelphia Eagles Weekly Schedule matches them with some tough games on paper, against Indianapolis, Minnesota and Green Bay, all of whom made the playoffs in addition to Dallas a year ago.
