Barney Frank To Address Media And Poker Players At WSOP Final

Perhaps the biggest friend to the American poker player is Barney Frank, and this morning, Sunday, July 5th, he is slated to give the command to "Shuffle Up And Deal" which will kick off Day 1c of the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event.

It makes sense for Frank to address the media, as well as the most prominent poker players, from the World Series of Poker, which is regarded as the World Championships of Poker. A news conference has been scheduled to take place, later this afternoon. Frank is sure to field all types of questions, which will mainly be from the issue of Online Poker, and will surely include other inquiries about Online Casino Gambling.

Frank has been pushing congress to ratify a bill which would limit the impacts of the previously passed UIGEA.Hearings for Frank's bill are slated to take place at some time in September, in the United States Congress, which will examine house bills HR 2267 and HR 2266. Frank's bills would also keep the previously mentioned UIGEA, from gaining more power, in December.

Representative Frank has been hard on the campaign trail, trying to gain supporters for his proposed legislation. At this point, Frank has been able to raise several dozen backers, in Congress, let alone Millions of Americans, which are in favor of his bill.
