American Idol Fans Gear Up For Season 9

When American Idol first hit the reality television scene 8 seasons ago, no one ever imagined it would be come one of the most successful talent shows in the business. American Idol is responsible for introducing singing sensations such as Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry, and Kris Allen, just to name a few. Thousands of aspiring performers travel from all over the United States, in hope of grabbing the judges attention just long enough to earn them a place in the next round. From the good to the bad, to the ugly, American Idol judges have just about seen it all. Although American Idol is a singing competition, some contestants believe that if their appearance is appealing enough to get a response from the judges, it will make up for the lack in singing talent. Unfortunate for those who choose to take that path, the judges are always up for a good laugh, but know the difference between talent and entertainment.

The first few weeks of the broadcast are definitely the most entertaining, as we get to see performers at their best, as well as those at their worst. Whether you are a fan of American Idol or not, you can not help but tune into the auditions in hopes of catching just a glimpse of singing hopefuls that do not come close to having a shot at making in the music industry. Although it is often a dream that most will continue to chase, some refuse to come to grips with the reality that the music business is for those who posses real singing talent, and for those that just enjoy singing. The judges hold the golden ticket to taking selected performers to the next level and one step closer to a new found career.
