Proposition betting has always made different sporting events much more entertaining, and the NFL has been subject to many props lines in recent times. After the "amazing" season the Detroit Lions had last year, many questions have been asked. Can they do it again? Will the Lions pull down a win? Or will the Lions blow it once more, out performing even the terrific Oakland Raiders? Three different lines are associated with the Lions streak of failure, and each one could be a solid money maker.
Thirteen different teams are listed, and thirteen different teams have an opportunity to make a player some money by losing to the Lions. The first team to lose to the Lions will pay on this line, and the Rams are the "favored" to be over powered by the Lions. The Rams loss will pay +250. The Seahawks are the next in rank to be obliterated by the Lions, and they will pay +350. Next are the Redskins, though considering their performance in the preseason, it may be doubtful that they will be stopped by the Lions. Next up are the Bengals, who pay +500. The Vikings, the Saints, and the Browns, each paying at +600. The Green Bay Packers are next, as they pay +800. As if they had a shot against the Ravens, the Lions defeat of Baltimore would pay +1000. The 49ers have not been at their peak over the past few years, but they will also pay +1000 as the first loss to the Lions. The Cardinals, last years Super Bowl runner up, pays +1100 should they be the first team to crumble against the "might" of the Lions. The Bears are also a solid performer against the Lions, and their defeat will pay +1200. Finally, the Steelers. As if the Lions would ever have a chance, the Steelers would pay +1500. The most you can win on this bet is $375, as the maximum bet is $25 dollars.
The next prop for the Lions is short and sweet. The question is whether or not the Lions will win a game before their bye week, and the line is simple. Should they win, anyone who placed their money on that line will take a +120 victory. Should they lose, a meager pay out of -160 will be had. This allows for six weeks of football to determine whether or not the Lions would be able to pull of a win. This bet, like the previous, carries a maximum of $25 dollars, so this is a small prop that won't carry a high risk.
These lines are available through BetUS, one of the premier online sportsbooks. BetUS is taking a large number of bets on the NFL, and even more proposition bets than those involving the Lions are available. Players who have not already opened an account through BetUS will find a 50% sign up bonus, a 50% reload bonus, and 10% gambler's insurance. BetUS will refund 10% of a bettors wagering losses twice annually, giving any high risk bettor a way to recoup for some of their losses.
