Odds Are Out On What Team Michael Vick Will Join

Earlier in the week the online sportsbook BetUS submitted odds on what team Michael Vick is likely to join in 2009. Vick was recently granted permission by commissioner Rodger Goodell to begin practice and team meetings on Monday morning after an extensive meeting between both parties. Now that Vick is allowed to play football again the bets are in on what team will likely sign him to a contract.

Believe it or not the New England Patriots who have had success in the past signing troubled players, are the front runners to give Vick a chance at 4/1 odds. Behind the Patriots is the Buffalo Bills team, now that Bills Wide Receiver Terrell Owens has shown interest in Michael Vick after mini camp interviews, BetUS has the Buffalo Bills at 4/1 odds as well.

BetUS has 8 other teams in the running to sign Michael Vick to a contract as well as an option to take the field at 2/1 odds. Surprisingly enough though the Dallas Cowboys are not one of the 8 remaining teams BetUS has favored to sign Vick. After rumors during the off season, that the Cowboys who give every player a second chance, would likely be the first team to jump at the chance to sign Vick, they are not on BetUS list of potential candidates.

The returning Super Bowl champs the Pittsburgh Steelers are on the list, with great odds to pay out at 9/2. My pick for the team that Vick will end up on is the Tennessee Titans and sure enough they are on the list too, at 5/1 odds. The Vick saga continues on and as much as media members want him not to play he is just to much of a talent to not sign. In three years from now when Vick is passing for 30 plus touchdowns a game every team that passed on him will hate themselves.

The 6 remaining teams on the list of likely places Vick will fall to are as follows. Minnesota Vikings 7/1, Miami Dolphins 13/2, Oakland Raiders 7/1, Carolina Panthers 10/1, Jacksonville Jaguars 15/2, Seattle Sea Hawks 15/1. The team on this list that needs Vick the most is the Oakland Raiders who can't seem to win football games at all. It will be fun to see where Michael Vick ends up this year. Expect to see Vick sign with a team within the next 10 days.
