Florida trounces Georgia 41-17

gatorsOne of the biggest games of the day ended as expected - the Number 1 ranked Florida obliterated Georgia, fans from the northern state mourned as peninsula bound Floridian's watched in awe as the Gators showed their superiority.

Florida's star quarterback threw for 15 of 21 throughout the game, bringing a total of 163 yards to his record. He also broke a record set by Florida's opposition, a record set in the early 80's by Georgia's Herschel Walker. Tebow rushed 18 times for 85 yards, setting a record for their conference.

Georgia's Bulldogs game was not a total loss, as they managed two touchdowns, . Sadly, their three would not stand to the Gator's 41 points. Three interceptions were thrown by quarterback Joe Cox, though he too accumulated 164 yards by the end of the game. Both touchdowns came from Cox. Cox completed eleven of twenty throws.

In the first half, Florida has secured a solid lead. Opening the day with two touchdowns on the first two possessions would bode ill for Georgia, and the beating continued throughout the entire game. At halftime, Georgia's finest had been holding 10 points to Florida's 24.

Twenty year old Logan Gray stepped in for Cox, though too little too late. Brandon Spikes made Georgia's life even more difficult, intercepting a pass by Gray and running it in for a short yard touchdown.

In a game writhe with turnovers, failed passes, broken records, and shattered dreams, Tebow finally showed his fans and enemies alike why he is currently running for the Heisman. Florida continues their 7-0 streak, while Georgia is barely hanging in with a 4-3 win/loss record.
