In the game between Ohio State and the Navy Academy's football team, Ohio started strong and held the momentum the entire duration of the game. The final score went 31-27, with Ohio clinging to the victory.
The game opened with a six play drive to give Ohio the first touchdown. Dane Sanzenbacher took his third career touchdown when Terrelle Pryor barely evaded being stuffed, getting the ball into the air after a deft display of acrobatics.
After the kick off, the Navy team started a long drive to the end zone. After a few incomplete passes, Dobbs and the Navy team drove the ball to the end zone after a series of rushes, culminating in a fifteen play, 80 yard drive with a touchdown. The Navy had run a loose offensive line, with several feet between each player.
Ohio turned the tables by driving down the field, and ended up taking a field goal to shift the game further toward Ohio, setting the score at 10-7 Ohio. Ohio kept their defense on top of Navy's offense, and ended up pounding out an interception that would end in yet another touchdown for Ohio State.
The second half of the game saw many penalties for Ohio. They lost nearly 25 yards in three consecutive penalties, giving the Navy much needed yardage. Ohio ended up with six penalties over all, losing 50 yards through out the game.
Ohio fumbled the ball once, but recovered it, while Navy dropped three and recovered only one. The score, by the end of the third quarter, was 14 to 20, Ohio.
Ohio held the ball for ten minutes in the final quarter, forcing two turn overs out of the Navy team. Ohio State gained a net of 118 yards, while the Navy managed 206, gaining 13 points in the fourth quarter. The Navy's comeback came too little too late, giving the favored Ohio State team the victory.
Terrelle Pryor managed 67% pass completion through out the entire game. He threw for one touchdown and rushed another in. Fourteen of twenty-one passes were made complete.
Dobbs, Navy's starting Quarterback, ran a 69% pass completion ratio, with nine of thirteen completions. He threw for 156 yards this game, accumulating four touchdowns.
Honorable mention goes to Ohio's Brian Rolle, who intercepted a two-point conversion attempt to pull off a score.
